Unveiling the Inner Workings
Inside the all-metal housing is the heart of the BST300; a magnetic puck is suspended between 2 durable nylon spiders, all enclosed within a former wrapped with a powerful voicecoil. Applying signal to the voicecoil sets the magnetic puck in motion along it’s 35mm path of travel, dispersing incredible bass energy into any surface it’s installed on. Shorting rings contain the magnetic B-field, keeping the energy concentrated within the former which increases motor force, further increasing output. This engineering marvel converts electrical signals into tangible waves of sonic power, taking your audio experience to new depths of immersion.

WOW…. I was previously using the Dayton Audio BST-1 and decided to try these BST-300EX. They are so much more powerful and provide awesome feedback on my simulation rig. Sooo.. I have now ordered 2 more for my home theater seat that I plan to power with a Dayton Audio BSA-200 amplifier.

This thing has a lot of BASS holy. When I fly in VR it shakes my headset too much sometimes. I use a fosi TB100 with some 10 awg wires and have this turned down less than half way and it still shakes really well

I have recently installed 8 BST-300EX and 2 SA1000 amplifiers into a bank of 4 reclining Paliser theatre chairs. Prior to the BST-300EX, I struggled to fit Buttkicker LFE into these chairs. The only mountable place for the BK LFE was the rear inner frame of the recliner itself, however this prevented the chairs from reclining. I went back to the drawing board and with the help of Smoke-tronics, I took a shot at 8 of these BST-300EX. This was a risk that paid off. Install was easy and these are so smooth and compliment the system very well. I would say 2 of these is pretty close to the output of a single LFE , but for the price you could do a 4:1 install and have way more than you’d ever need. I have 4 BST-300EX wired in a series-parallel configuration to maintain a 4ohm load at the amp which gives each BST-300EX 250w. I am beyond impressed with these and they have far exceeded my expectations, especially after the battle I had trying to get the BK LFE to work. I like these so much so that I am now looking at doing a family-room couch and my daily driver. The SA1000 amp is a nice unit and does what its supposed to do. I am very pleased with my purchase and experience dealing with Smoke-tronics. Thanks again!
