Description

The ButtKicker LFE is a patented 4 ohm low frequency audio transducer that features a 3.75 lbs (1.48 kg) magnetically suspended piston. The BK-LFE is accurate, provides powerful frequency response, is virtually indestructible, and requires no maintenance.

With a frequency response range of approximately 5Hz to 200Hz the ButtKicker LFE provides powerful tactile response without the sound pressure of a subwoofer.

The BK-LFE is our largest transducer and is a great fit for large installs. One LFE provides amazing tactile response on even the largest couches. And the ButtKicker LFE transducer is the best fit for home theater risers and platforms.

ButtKicker LFE requires a minimum of 400 watts and we recommend a maximum of 1500 watts. The BK-LFE connects to the BKA1000-P power amplifier via 5 way binding posts (banana plugs). We recommend 14 gauge speaker wire for normal installations and 12 gauge wire for lengthy wire runs.

Way stronger than I imagined. Bought this and mounted it to a single recliner. Started the movie with my buttkicker amp at half power. The transducer sounded like it was going to blow up my chair and shook me to my bones. I turned the amp down to about 15%with high pass cutoff at 50hz and it blends very well with my SVS sub. I am sad though that there isn’t a way to mount this to 2 of my recliners at once. That is not buttkicker fault though but my chairs. I will have to fork up another 350 for my wife’s chair, sigh

This thing is pretty insane. I have it set up with the SA1000 amp and the couch is isolated using the rubber feet (very important). I have 2 subs in my home theater already (Klipsch 15 inch and PB16 Ultra from SVS). This little thing (it’s not so little) is without a doubt capable of rattling the couch so much that it sounds like it will break it. I have the gain at 3 and the freq at around 50-60hz. It integrates very well into the system so I can turn down the subs and feel the bass without shaking the entire house. I have been looking at theses for awhile and wish I would have got one sooner. It’s not something you will have running all the time but when your watching movies and want to enjoy the experience it’s that added tactile feeling that’s hard to get with most subs. Sure the subwoofers could pressure the room enough but in my room it will shake the entire house to get me the feeling that I want. This solves that. Only thing is make sure you have room for it as it’s wider and taller than I thought. I mounted a 2×4 to the steel frame of my chair, then a 2×6 to that with the BK-LFE mounted to that (using screws and washers). I mounted it vertical (feet facing the floor) and it’s in the middle (big opening where the center console and armrest is on my chair). There is more than enough room there. Don’t use banana plugs as this thing is capable of causing to my vibration it will shake them out. At the amp end you can use the plugs. I just used bare speaker wire in the side and screwed the posts tight. Worth every penny!
